About the Research & Development Cell

The Research & Development Cell (RDC) of Asansol Girls’ College is committed to strengthening the research ecosystem of the institution and promoting a vibrant culture of research, innovation, and academic collaboration.
The Cell provides a platform for faculty members and students to undertake meaningful, innovative, and socially relevant research. It facilitates research planning, policy development, infrastructure support, research projects, scholarly publications, collaborations, intellectual property protection, ethical research practices, and dissemination of research outcomes.

Vision

To establish Asansol Girls’ College as a vibrant centre of research, innovation, and knowledge creation by encouraging interdisciplinary, ethical, collaborative, and socially relevant research.

The Research & Development Cell aims to:
i) Develop and strengthen a research-oriented academic environment.
ii) Encourage faculty and students to participate in research.
iii) Promote interdisciplinary and collaborative research.
iv) Facilitate research projects and external funding opportunities.
v) Encourage quality scholarly publications.
vi) Promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
vii) Create awareness regarding Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
viii) Encourage ethical and responsible research practices.
ix) Develop collaborations with universities, research institutions, industries, and community organisations.
x) Facilitate dissemination and commercialization of research outcomes.
